a little about me

I am an artist, therapist and lover of nature. I appreciate the details in life that others may miss. I am a champion for the underserved.

I have always had a fascination with trees: I enjoy being near them, admiring their unique beauty and majesty. As an artist, I am continually drawing trees, taking joy in recreating textured bark and sweeping branches. As a therapist, I have grown to appreciate the important metaphor that trees provide us. Trees are a common symbol for growth and life, they symbolize strength and groundedness and can be used to talk about personal change and health.

Since graduating from Pratt Institute with my Masters in Art Therapy and Creativity Development I have had the pleasure to work with many different populations in a variety of settings. I have been a part of a community based case management program, worked in many acute in-patient behavioral health hospital settings, and intensive outpatient programs. I have worked with individuals of all ages, from 4 to over 90, and have group and individual experience. I am credentialed as a Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist.
